Beverley Lu Latter lives in
New Brunswick, Canada. She's been drawing
and painting since she was young. Her father always said; "She was
born with a silver brush in her hand!"
Beverley is self taught with only a few
local classes that she took as a teenager. She
especially loves to paint wildlife and works from photographs. One of
her biggest influences in the art field is Robert Bateman.
She usually has a few projects on the
go, working on one and then moving to another while the first one is
still drying. This leaves her free to work on a project at her leisure.
"Although I paint a variety of
subjects, I endeavor to bring the emotion in each painting to life.
Light plays an important role. The way the light and shadows play on the
face of an animal or the petal of a flower, are things that inspire me.
When painting animals, I begin with the eyes. The eyes are very
important as they hold a story and are the window to the soul."
Most of the artwork on this site is
available for purchasing or licensing for publications. Feel free to contact
