My references for this painting
were my own photos
I took a few years ago
looking across the Petitcodiac River
to Riverview from the Moncton side.
 
It captures a fleeting, and radiant scene—
a song sparrow resting on the warm petals of a sunflower
as the first light of day rises over the horizon.
 
These quiet moments often pass unnoticed in our busy lives.
But here, they are held still… inviting you to stop, breathe,
and truly see the moments of beauty,
before they are gone.
 
Let this painting remind us
to stop, pause,
and notice the simple beauty we often overlook,
to cherish the peace
hidden in life’s in-between moments,
